Kitale junior school 80th year reunionLet me start by explaining that this blog is intended as a brief record of my recent visit to the town of Kitale in the Western part of Kenya known as the Transnzoia. I thought a blog would be a nice way to make a record with photos for the benefit of family and friends.
The purpose of the visit was in fact to attend an 80 year anniversary school reunion for old students who went to the Kitale primary school between about 1928 and 1965. This gathering was the result of a Goliath effort by a handful of old students, and in particular an ex matron/teacher who has been a powerhouse of energy, who managed to get about 80 colleagues together from all over the world.
School motto: PERSEVERE !

I attended Central Primary School in Kitale town and has spent many years in the small town, since 1986. A lot has changed since those days. I particularly miss the Cine Paradise cinema hall where patrons would converge to watch the latest box office releases, mostly James Bond 007 series.
Hello,
Was fascinated to find your blog about Kitale School and the 80th year reunion. Wish I had known. I grew up on a farm above Endebess and was at Kitale School '50 through '53. I am a contemporary of Tony and Michael Mills but have not been back to Kenya since '87. Think about it all he time though!
I am not sure you still check this blog but if so would love to hear from you. My name is Andrew Smallwood
